Championing Accessible Care for All PMDD Patients
I am Dr. Gloria Areghan. I am a nurse practitioner with a doctorate degree in preventive medicine. My main focus is removing the barriers to accessing care by streamlining the process and putting our patients first. I am passionate about PMDD and making sure patients have access to critical health services they so need. I am currently licensed to practice in Mississippi, Iowa, and Maryland. I have over twenty years of experience with board certifications as a family nurse practitioner and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
Our Commitment to Accessible Treatment
Today, we’re leading the way with being a critical voice for those who might be struggling with PMDD. We are the only organization to offer this level of HIPAA-secured PMDD management online with board-certified providers.
PMDD is misunderstood by providers. It is a condition with no home. Treatments are uncoordinated, taking months to years to arrive at the correct diagnosis and treatment. Though listed in the DSM V, psychiatrists prefer management by gynecologists, and the gynecologists prefer psychiatric management due to mood involvement. At Ovathera, we have married both providers by using providers that have been board certified in mental health as well as in general medical care. These providers are well knowledgeable in managing PMDD. Patients sometimes have to wait six months and spend up to $2,000 or more just to be diagnosed.
